New Hampshire Cold Case Unit

The Cold Case Unit works to resolve unsolved homicides in the State of New Hampshire.

The Cold Case Unit's unsolved investigations include missing persons cases and unidentified remains cases, which may have resulted from homicidal violence. The Cold Case Unit seeks to provide answers and justice for the victims, their families, and the people of New Hampshire by investigating, resolving, and when possible, prosecuting those responsible for these murders.

A “cold case” homicide is defined as any unsolved homicide, or suspected homicide, in the State that was committed more than five years ago and has no significant leads and is no longer being actively investigated by the initial investigative unit based on a lack of probative investigative leads and/or workload.
