Shanna M. Pinet arrested for Unlicensed Practice of Naturopathy and Violation of the Consumer Protection Act

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella announces that Shanna M. Pinet, age 44, of Atkinson, New Hampshire, was arrested on September 20, 2022, and charged with three counts of Unlicensed Practice of Naturopathy and two counts of violating the New Hampshire Consumer Protection Act.

Ms. Pinet is accused of three class A misdemeanors for violating RSA 328-E:14, I and two class A misdemeanors for violating RSA 358-A:2, V. All counts relate to allegations that Ms. Pinet, who holds no professional license in New Hampshire, represented herself and provided client services as a naturopathic doctor under the name "Dr. Fabianna Marie".

Ms. Pinet is scheduled to be arraigned at Rockingham County Superior Court on October 20, 2022.

Class A misdemeanors are punishable by up to 12 months in the House of Corrections and up to a $2,000 fine.

The investigation into this case was conducted by Investigator Fredrick Lulka and is being prosecuted by Attorney John F. Brown, both of the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau.

The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and Ms. Pinet is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
