Disclosure of the Officer and Security Member's Names from the May 13, 2022 Shooting Incident in New Boston, New Hampshire
Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella releases further information regarding the shooting incident that took place on May 13, 2022, in New Boston, New Hampshire.
Two individuals discharged their firearms during the incident that resulted in the death of Michael Foley (age 33). One of those individuals was New Boston police officer Shane Morton (approximately 5 years as a police officer). The other individual was a Contracted Security Member, Peter White (6 years with the company (Lockwood Hills), and prior military experience).
The exact circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation. A report regarding whether the use of force was justified will be released once the investigation is completed. No further updates are expected until the report is released.
