Anderson Pereira Indicted for the Murder of Zakhia Charabaty and Related Crimes

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella announces that Anderson Pereira (age 42), has been indicted on multiple charges in connection with the death of Zakhia Charabaty (age 52), in Manchester, New Hampshire on March 12, 2020.

On February 18, 2022, the Hillsborough County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Anderson Pereira with one count of first-degree murder, for purposely causing Mr. Charabaty's death by means of homicidal violence; one count of felony theft, in connection with the unauthorized taking of Mr. Charabaty's work truck; and two counts of falsifying physical evidence, in connection with the removal of Mr. Charabaty's body and cellphone from his Manchester home.

The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
