Suspicious Death in Manchester, New Hampshire

Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg announce that members of the Attorney General's Office and the Manchester Police Department are actively investigating the suspicious death of an adult male shot earlier this morning in the area of 61 Lowell Street in Manchester, New Hampshire.

At approximately 1:12 AM this morning, Manchester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 61 Lowell Street for a reported motor vehicle accident.  At approximately 2:02 AM, officers were called back to the area upon the report of a shooting.  On scene, they discovered a single adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  The male was transported to the Elliott Hospital where he died hours later.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.  Investigators are continuing to investigate the individuals involved and the sequence of events from the accident leading up to the shooting, but there are no indications of any specific threat to the general public at this time.
