Licensed Practical Nurse, Jennifer Blaisdell, Indicted on Additional Counts of Obtaining a Controlled Drug by Fraud, Deceit, Misrepresentation or Subterfuge

New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announces the indictments of Jennifer Blaisdell, age 46, of South Berwick, Maine, on 26 additional class B felony counts of obtaining a controlled drug by fraud, deceit, misrepresentation or subterfuge in violation of New Hampshire's Controlled Drug Act.

The State alleges that on 26 separate occasions between January 5, 2017 and January 18, 2017, Ms. Blaisdell, while working as a licensed practical nurse at a long-term care facility in Dover, New Hampshire unlawfully obtained pain medication containing the narcotic drug oxycodone belonging to 3 facility residents. The State further alleges that in order to obtain the drugs, Ms. Blaisdell fraudulently documented in a controlled substances book that doses of the drug was administered to the residents by other licensed practical nurses at the facility.

A Strafford County grand jury previously indicted Ms. Blaisdell on July 20, 2017 on 2 counts of obtaining a controlled drug by forgery of a written order and 3 counts of obtaining a controlled drug by fraud, deceit, misrepresentation or subterfuge.

Blaisdell is scheduled to be arraigned on the additional charges on December 7, 2017 at Strafford County Superior Court. Each indictment carries a maximum possible penalty of 3 ½ - 7 years in the New Hampshire State Prison and/or a $25,000.00 fine.

The charges and allegations set forth in the indictments are merely accusations, and Ms. Blaisdell is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
