Indictments of James Gray and Cory Sellers for the Death of Jordan Stocker Resulting from a Sale of a Controlled Drug

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and Conway Police Chief Christopher Mattei announce that James Gray (age 47) and Cory Sellers (age 39) have been indicted by the Carroll County Grand Jury in connection with the overdose death of Jordan Stocker on October 20, 2023. Mr. Gray and Mr. Sellers are alleged to have provided fentanyl to Mr. Stocker in Conway, New Hampshire, where Mr. Stocker overdosed on October 18, 2023. Mr. Stocker passed away two days later at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.

Mr. Gray and Mr. Sellers were indicted one count of Sale of a Controlled Drug – Death Resulting for knowingly selling fentanyl to Mr. Stocker, who died as a direct result of using the fentanyl. Mr. Gray was also indicted on one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Drug for knowingly possessing more than two (2) ounces of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest.

Mr. Gray and Mr. Sellers continue to be held without bail. Mr. Gray and Mr. Sellers will be arraigned on these charges on June 14, 2024, in the Carroll County Superior Court.

Mr. Gray’s indictment on the additional count of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Drug came as a result of the efforts of the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force and its commander, Ellen Arcieri.

The charges against Mr. Gray and Mr. Sellers are only allegations, and they are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
