Indictment of Robert Eastman for the Murder of Laurie MacLellan

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg announce that Robert Eastman, age 54, has been indicted by the Hillsborough County – Northern District Grand Jury in connection with the death of Laurie MacLellan, age 59, on June 14, 2023.

Mr. Eastman was indicted on one count of second-degree murder for knowingly causing the death of Ms. MacLellan by stabbing her, and one alternative count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing Ms. MacLellan’s death under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by stabbing her. Mr. Eastman was also indicted on two counts of falsifying physical evidence for removing blood from his person and from the crime scene.

Mr. Eastman continues to be held without bail. Mr. Eastman is expected to be arraigned on October 27, 2023, in the Hillsborough County Superior Court, Northern District, at 9:00 a.m.

The charges and allegations against Mr. Eastman are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
