Death Investigation in Wentworth, New Hampshire

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, State Colonel Christopher J. Wagner, and Wentworth Police Chief Wallace Trott, announce that an investigation is ongoing into a death in Wentworth, New Hampshire.

At about 1:49 a.m. today, a 911 call was placed asking for assistance for a man at a home at 234 Atwell Hill Road in Wentworth, New Hampshire. When police arrived, they discovered the resident at the home, Todd Downing (age 60), with injuries. Downing was taken to a local hospital where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

An autopsy was performed on Mr. Downing today. The State's Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Thomas A. Andrew has determined that Mr. Downing's cause of death was blunt force injuries and the manner of death was homicide.

The investigation into Mr. Downing's death is active and ongoing.
