Car Restorer Robert Waller charged with two violations of the Consumer Protection Act

Concord, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announces the filing of two Class A misdemeanor charges in Merrimack County Superior Court against Robert Waller, age 66, of New Boston, NH, d/b/a Classic Auto Services of New Boston, LLC, for two violations of the Consumer Protection Act.

Mr. Waller was prohibited from accepting a deposit or prepayment for labor related to his business by an injunction that was already in place by the Merrimack County Superior Court, The injunction also required Mr. Waller to create a written contract for new customers. The charges, filed today, allege that Mr. Waller violated the terms of the injunction by accepting a deposit or prepayment for labor and by not creating a contract for T.B., a new customer.

Class A misdemeanors and are punishable by 12 months in the House of Corrections and/or a maximum fine of $2,000 for each charge.

The charges are merely an accusation, and Mr. Waller is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Assistant Attorney General Gregory M. Albert of the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau is prosecuting this case.
