Autopsy Results Regarding Homicide Investigation in Rochester

Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and Rochester Police Chief Paul Toussaint announce further information concerning a homicide investigation in Rochester, New Hampshire that began on June 6, 2018.

Around midnight on June 6, 2018, Rochester police officers responded to the area of South Main Street for a reported shooting incident. That incident apparently involved two groups of people. Upon arrival, the officers discovered three adults, including an adult female, Billy Jo Ahearn (age 24) of Rochester, with an apparent gunshot wound. Ms. Ahearn was transported to a local hospital where she later died.

On June 6, an autopsy was performed on Ms. Ahearn by Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval. Dr. Duval determined that Ms. Ahearn’s cause of death was a single gunshot wound and the manner of death was homicide.
