Autopsy Results of Christian St. Cyr and Brandie Tarantino St. Cyr

Concord, NH – New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher Wagner, and Manchester Police Chief Carlo T. Capano announce that autopsies have been completed on Christian St. Cyr (age 26) and Brandie Tarantino St. Cyr (age 21), who were discovered deceased inside the Quality Inn on March 28, 2019, following a standoff with police.

New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie V. Duval has determined that the cause of Christian St. Cyr's death was the combined effects of environmental hypothermia, blunt penetrating injuries, and acute intoxication by fentanyl, acetyl fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine. The manner of his death is undetermined. Dr. Duval has determined that the cause of Brandie Tarantino St. Cyr's death was the combined effects of environmental hypothermia and acute intoxication by fentanyl, acetyl fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine. The manner of her death is undetermined. It is not possible to assign a single manner of death for each decedent as they resulted from a combination of incidental, self-imposed, and inflicted conditions.

The investigation, into the circumstances leading up to and surrounding the deaths of Stephen Marshall, Christian St. Cyr, and Brandie Tarantino St. Cyr, remains ongoing. A report regarding these circumstances and whether the use of force was justified will be released once the investigation is completed. No further updates are expected until the report is released.
