Arrest in Berlin Murder Case

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher Wagner, and Berlin Police Chief Peter Morency announce that an arrest has been made in the murder of 2½-year-old Madison Dana.

Roger Joseph Dana (age 43), was arrested this afternoon and charged with Second-Degree Murder, for recklessly causing the death of Madison Dana, under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life, by physically assaulting Madison multiple times. Roger J. Dana is Madison Dana's father.

Madison had been found injured at her home at 109 York Street in Berlin on November 27, 2016. She was transported to Androscoggin Valley Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. An autopsy has determined that her cause of death was blunt impact injuries and that her manner of death was homicide.

Mr. Dana is expected to be arraigned on Monday, December 5, 2016, at 1:30 p.m., in the 1st Circuit - District Division Court in Lancaster, New Hampshire.
