Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella, State Police Colonel Nathan Noyes and Bedford Police Chief John J. Bryfonski announce that Theodore Luckey, age 42, of Asbury Park, New Jersey, has been arrested on an additional criminal charge related to the death of Nathan Cashman in Bedford, New Hampshire.

Mr. Luckey was previously charged with two counts of second degree murder and three counts of being a felon in possession of a deadly weapon. In addition to those pending charges, Mr. Luckey has now been charged with one count of first degree murder, which alleges that: Mr. Luckey purposely caused the death of Nathan Cashman by inflicting multiple chop wounds to Nathan Cashman's body with a machete-type knife.

Mr. Luckey is currently being held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections on preventative detention. The charges and allegations against Mr. Luckey are merely accusations, and Mr. Luckey is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

The investigation into this matter is active and ongoing and no further information is expected to be released.
