Health Care Consumer Protection Advisory Commission

Pursuant to RSA 7:6-G, the Health Care Consumer Protection Trust Fund (the “Fund”) was established in 2023 to hold all proceeds received by the state from any settlement, judgment, or other resolution related to mergers and transactions involving transfer of control of a health care organization. All proceeds from the Fund are expended solely for the purpose of benefitting New Hampshire healthcare consumers.

The Healthcare Consumer Protection Advisory Commission (the “Commission”) was created to consult with and advise the attorney general in the administration and management of the Fund. The Commission is also tasked with approving all expenditures of the Fund’s proceeds as proposed by the attorney general.
