June 22, 2007 Update

On Friday June 22, 2007,10 a.m. a meeting of creditors will be held at 55 Pleasant Street, Concord, New Hampshire, pursuant to Bankruptcy Code section 341. At the meeting a representative of Rumford Energy, the debtor, is required to appear and answer questions under oath. Creditors, including consumers who are owed money, and the trustee may ask questions of the debtor during the meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to enable creditors and the trustee to determine if assets have improperly been disposed of or concealed. The debtor's acts, conduct, property, its liabilities and financial condition, or any matter that may affect the administration of the case are appropriate topics for questioning.

Rumford has not yet filed its schedules and statements with the bankruptcy court. On June 6, 2007, however, the Court granted an extension until July 20, 2007 for the filing of these. The schedules to be filed will list the debts of the company as well as its assets.
