New Hampshire Consumer Sourcebook to be Distributed to All Public Libraries

Attorney General Kelly Ayotte today announced that the new third edition of the New Hampshire Consumers Sourcebook will be distributed to all public libraries in the State. Like the previous editions, the third edition offers detailed information and resources on a variety of consumer-related issues.
In order to assist New Hampshire citizens become better informed about their rights and responsibilities, the Attorney General has distributed the Sourcebook to libraries statewide. The Sourcebook, which serves as a reference guide and useful tool, includes updated information on subjects such as how to protect your identity, how to order free credit reports, and where to report scams and fraud. Each chapter provides general information relative to a specific topic, as well as contact information for the various state and federal agencies available for assisting consumers with a particular concern. The new third edition New Hampshire Consumer Sourcebook, as well as other valuable consumer information is available at no cost by calling the Bureau at 603-271-3641 or toll free at 1-888-468-4454 and is also available online at: www.doj.nh.gov/consumer.
“Everyone should have access to resources and information about the basic steps that can be taken to avoid some of the pitfalls involved in consumer transactions in today’s marketplace,” said Attorney General Kelly Ayotte.
The Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau of New Hampshire maintains a toll free consumer hotline at 1-888-468-4454. It is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm to assist consumers with questions related to consumer related issues.
