Attorney General Kelly A. Ayotte announces a press conference will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. to release the results of the third annual audit of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Manchester conducted by the State of New Hampshire. The audit was conducted as part of the State’s December 2002 agreement with the Diocese, relating to Diocese’s handling of allegations of sexual misconduct of children by priests. The terms of the agreement included an annual audit of the Diocese regarding its compliance with the terms of the agreement and Diocesan policies.

The press conference will be held in Room 302 at the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office. Copies of the audit report will be available to interested members of the public following the press conference. The State does not intend to release any additional information about the results of the audit until the press conference.
