For Immediate Release
July 19, 2013
Matthew G. Mavrogeorge, Assistant Attorney General
Attorney General Joseph A. Foster announces that the New Hampshire Board of Medicine ("Board") has suspended the medical license of Hasan A. Duymazlar, D.O., effective July 18, 2013. Following the issuance of the Emergency Suspension Order and Notice of Hearing, the Board accepted a Voluntary Surrender of License signed by Dr. Duymazlar, effective July 19, 2013, and canceled the hearing on the emergency suspension that had been scheduled for July 26, 2013.
The Board's action is in response to information it received that Dr. Duymazlar wrote a fraudulent prescription for a controlled substance and had the prescription filled at a pharmacy by purporting to be the individual who the prescription was made out to. On July 17, 2013, Dr. Duymazlar was arrested and charged with a Class B Felony under RSA 318-B:2, V for obtaining a controlled drug by fraud. Dr. Duymazlar practiced in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
