New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert C. Quinn, Charlestown Police Chief Ed Smith, and Claremont Police Chief Alexander Scott announce that the New Hampshire Fish and Game along with New England K-9 Search and Rescue, located the remains of a female adult in Unity, New Hampshire earlier today. The New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit is processing the scene which is a wooded area on Britton Road in Unity. An autopsy will be performed on the remains tomorrow by the New Hampshire Medical Examiner's Office.
This body has not yet been identified. It is anticipated that any identification will be made with dental records. However, based upon the information gathered to date in this investigation, it is suspected that the remains are those of Kelly Robarge.
Kelly Robarge was last seen on Thursday, June 27, 2013, in the late morning hours. She has had no communication with family and friends since that time. The investigation has revealed that the circumstances surrounding Kelly Robarge's disappearance are suspicious. Early in the investigation, there was concern that Kelly Robarge had suffered serious physical injury or death.
The agencies involved in the search have included: New Hampshire Fish and Game Search and Rescue and Dive Search teams, the Charlestown Police Department, the Claremont Police Department, the New Hampshire State Police Troop C members, the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit investigators and search team members, Vermont State Police investigators and search team members, members of the FBI, New Hampshire Marine Patrol, New Hampshire State Police Aviation Unit, New Hampshire State Police Troop D K-9 Units, and the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department. The police have been assisted by the civilian search team, New England K-9 Search and Rescue.
