New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert C. Quinn, and Laconia Police Chief Chris Adams announce that an arrest has been made in connection with the homicide of Zachary March (age 27) at 24 McGrath Street in Laconia, New Hampshire, early this morning. Kasey Riley (age 19) of Laconia, New Hampshire, has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder this morning for recklessly causing the death of Zachary March by strangling him.
The investigation began early this morning when the Laconia Police responded to an emergency call at 24 McGrath Street at approximately 1:42 a.m. After police arrived, they encountered Kasey Riley inside the residence. The police also found Zachary March unresponsive, inside the residence. Mr. March was later pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy will be conducted tomorrow in Concord at the Chief Medical Examiner's Office to determine Mr. March's cause and manner of death.
Mr. Riley is expected to be arraigned on the murder charge at the Laconia District Court tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
The investigation is still ongoing.
