New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief David J. Mara announce that an investigation is ongoing into a homicide in Manchester, New Hampshire.
At approximately 3 a.m. this morning, Sunday, June 9, 2013, a 911 call was placed from an apartment on Lake Avenue in Manchester. Manchester Police Officers responded to the 911 caller's apartment and discovered a deceased adult male inside. That deceased male, who was not a resident of that apartment, appeared to have suffered at least one gunshot wound. As of now, the investigation has revealed that the deceased male had been shot by one of the three residents of the apartment where the incident took place. One of those residents suffered minor injuries during the incident, but the other two were physically unhurt.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death of the deceased male. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
