New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn announce that they are investigating a police officer-involved shooting incident that took place in the City of Manchester at approximately 6:00 p.m. today, on Merrimack Street between Union and Pine Streets. No police officers were injured in this incident. An adult male sustained two gunshot wounds and was transported to the Eliot Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. His identity is not yet being released pending notification of his relatives concerning this incident. This investigation is still in an early stage and is ongoing. Searches are being conducted for evidence connected to the incident and witness interviews are expected to take several days as the investigation proceeds.
