New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn, and Belmont Police Chief Mark Lewandoski, announce that more information is available regarding an ongoing investigation into the deaths of two people who were discovered in Belmont, New Hampshire yesterday morning.
The two deceased people have been identified as:
Priscilla Carter - age 59, of 20 Sunset Drive in Belmont, NH; and
Her son, Timothy Carter - age 39, of 20 Sunset Drive, Belmont, NH.
Dr. Thomas A. Andrew, the State's Chief Medical Examiner, completed autopsies today on Priscilla and Timothy Carter. Priscilla Carter's cause of death was multiple chop wounds and blunt force injuries. Her manner of death is homicide. Timothy Carter's cause of death was multiple chop wounds. His manner of death is homicide.
The New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit and the Belmont Police Department are continuing to investigate this incident. No one has been arrested in connection with the homicides yet. The police are asking anyone with information about the incident or who knew the Carters to contact the New Hampshire State Police at (603) 223-4381.
