Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn, and Chesterfield Police Chief Lester Fairbanks announce that law enforcement authorities are investigating an apparent shooting incident that occurred on property in Chesterfield, New Hampshire. One adult male is dead and one adult male has been hospitalized, both of apparent gunshot wounds. The identities of those involved are being withheld pending notification of family members. Autopsies for the deceased male will be scheduled.

The investigation is still ongoing, but based upon the investigation conducted to date there is no reason to believe that there exists any danger to the public.
