New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney and Chief Donald F. Conley, Nashua Police Department, announce the arrest of Matthew Packer, 19, of 36 Carlene Drive, Nashua, New Hampshire, for the second degree murder of Paul Frontiero, 27, Nashua, and for the first degree assault on Kathryn Libby, 29, Nashua.
Mr. Packer was arrested last night at around 10:00 pm at 44 Camardo Drive, Wareham, Massachusetts, at the home of a relative. He is expected to be arraigned in Wareham District Court, Fourth Circuit, on fugitive from justice charges this morning.
Dr. Jennie Duval of the Office of the New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner performed an autopsy yesterday and has determined that the cause of Mr. Frontiero's death was multiple stab wounds with one stab wound to the heart. She declared the manner of death homicide.
The investigation into the facts and circumstances of the murder of Mr. Frontiero and the assault on Ms. Libby remains active. Ms. Libby remains in stable condition and recovering at a Boston hospital.
