New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn, and Weare Police Chief Gregg Begin, announce that the Attorney General's Office and the Major Crime Unit of the New Hampshire State Police, along with the Weare Police Department are investigating what appears to be a murder suicide that occurred early this morning in Weare, NH.
Weare Police Department responded to a 911 call for service at 1724 River Road, Weare, New Hampshire around 6:30 am. A male and a female were found dead at the residence early this morning, who are not being identified pending notification of next of kin. Early indications are that the male killed the female and then killed himself. The exact circumstances surrounding this murder suicide remain under investigation.
Weare Police Department also responded to a call for service at 477 Concord Stage Road, at approximately 5:00 am this morning, for a reported armed home invasion. It appears that the male involved in the murder suicide was also responsible for this armed home invasion.
Autopsies will be performed by the Medical Examiner's Office tomorrow.
