New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn, Wilton Police Chief Brent Hautanen and Lyndeborough Captain Thomas Burke, announce that the Attorney General's Office and the Major Crime Unit of the New Hampshire State Police, along with the Wilton Police Department and the Lyndeborough Police Department, are investigating a homicide that occurred in Lyndeborough on July 5, 2011.
Lyndeborough Police Department responded to a 911 call for service at 134 Cram Hill Road yesterday around 4 pm. Upon arrival, Noel St. Laurent (91) was found dead at his home. Police arrested Glenn Rodgers (44) at the scene, where he had been residing since March of this year.
Glenn Rodgers has been charged with one count of Reckless Second Degree Murder for causing the death of Noel St. Laurent by striking him in the head with a hatchet. Rodgers will be arraigned at the Milford District Court at 1:00 p.m. today.
An autopsy will be performed by the Medical Examiner's Office today to determine the exact cause and manner of Mr. St. Laurent's death.
Mr. St. Laurent's death remains under investigation.
