New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn and Manchester Police Chief David J. Mara announce that the standoff at an apartment at 298 Main Street in Manchester has ended.
Shots were fired early this morning at the scene. None of the police officers at the scene or the female child inside the apartment were injured as a result of the gunfire. However, the male occupant who was barricaded inside the apartment was killed during the incident.
The matter is being investigated by the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office and the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit.
A representative from the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office will be at the Manchester Police Department this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. with an updated news release and information regarding the incident.
