New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn and Auburn Police Chief Edward G. Picard report that they are currently investigating a suspicious death in Auburn, New Hampshire. The discovery was made during a check of what appeared to be a broken-down vehicle on Route 101, westbound, between exits 2 and 1. The identity of the deceased male is being withheld until the completion of the autopsy. The autopsy is scheduled for later this afternoon.
The deceased was discovered at approximately 10:38 p.m. on November 23, 2010, after the New Hampshire State Police received a phone call about an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was a black Ford F-150 pickup truck, parked in the right breakdown lane between exits 2 and 1. The New Hampshire State Police is asking for anyone who was traveling on Route 101 westbound during Tuesday evening who may have seen this vehicle, any anyone who has any information about this vehicle, to contact the New Hampshire State Police Headquarters at (603) 271-3636.
No further press releases are anticipated until after the autopsy is completed.
