New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn, Pittsburg Police Chief Richard Lapoint, and Colebrook Police Chief Steven Cass, announce that an investigation is ongoing into a shooting incident that took place at 15 Baker Drive, in Pittsburg, New Hampshire, at approximately 10:30 this morning.
Kenneth Arsenault (50) of 15 Baker Drive, Pittsburg, New Hampshire, was taken into custody at a residence on Shore Drive in Pittsburg, New Hampshire without incident. Kenneth Arsenault has been charged with two counts of attempted murder. Two individuals suffered gunshot wounds and are being treated for their injuries; one at Dartmouth Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire, and one at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine. Another individual was found dead in a burned out vehicle at the scene of the shooting on Baker Drive. The identities of the victims are not being released, pending notification to their families.
It is anticipated that an autopsy will be conducted on the third victim in the next two days.
The defendant will be arraigned on these charges at the Lancaster District Court tomorrow morning at 8:15 am.
