Press Conference Regarding Creation of the Cold Case Homicide Unit

Governor John Lynch, Attorney General Michael A. Delaney and Colonel Frederick Booth of the New Hampshire State Police announce that a press conference will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. to present information regarding the creation of the Cold Case Homicide Unit. Governor Lynch will be present at the conference to address the legislation he signed earlier this year creating the Unit. The press conference will introduce the prosecutor and 3 investigators who will form the Unit and discuss the goals of the team. At the press conference we will unveil a new Web site that details each of the more than 100 cold cases, covering every region of the state.

The Web site has information on how members of the public can contact the Cold Case Unit to help bring justice to the victims of unsolved homicides, suspicious deaths, and missing person cases dating back over the last 40 years.

The press conference will also include family members of victims of unsolved cases, families who have received closure on cold cases, and investigators and prosecutors who have helped resolve cold cases.

The press conference will be held at the Attorney General's Office, 33 Capitol Street, Concord, NH.
