Arrest in the Investigation of the Homicide of David King

Orville B. Fitch, II, Acting Attorney General and Dover Police Chief Anthony Colarusso announce that Dianna Saunders, age 41, of Fort Worth, Texas, was arrested yesterday in Fort Worth on a fugitive from justice warrant, based on a New Hampshire complaint charging her as an accomplice to first degree murder in the death of David King. Mr. King was murdered in his residence at 81 Old Dover Point Road, where he lived with Dianna Saunders, on August 29, 2008. On May 7, 2009, Scott Mazzone, age 41, of Newbury, Massachusetts, entered a negotiated plea of guilty in the Strafford County Superior Court to a charge of second degree murder, for shooting Mr. King. On the same day, Derek Saunders, age 26, of Newbury, Massachusetts entered a negotiated plea of guilty to a charge of accomplice to second degree murder for his involvement in the murder of Mr. King. Derek Saunders is the former step-son of Dianna Saunders.

Ms. Saunders was arraigned on the charge this morning. She is being held without bail pending extradition. Upon her return to New Hampshire, an arraignment will be held in the Dover District Court, the date of which has not been scheduled.

Dover Police made the arrest in Texas with the assistance of the Parker County, Texas, Sheriff's Office.
