Arrest in death in North Haverhill, New Hampshire

New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly A. Ayotte, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Frederick H. Booth, and Haverhill Police Chief Jeffery L. Williams announce that an investigation is ongoing into the murder of Christopher Gray (25) of Groton, Vermont. Earlier today, Mr. Gray's body was found on the property of 2477 Lime Kiln Road, in North Haverhill.

At this juncture, Timothy Smith (23) of North Haverhill, has been arrested on one count of second-degree murder for the death of Christopher Gray. Anthony Howe (18) of Haverhill has been arrested on one count of hindering apprehension or prosecution.

An autopsy is scheduled for October 10, 2008, at the office of the Chief Medical Examiner, by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Jennie Duval, to determine the cause of Christopher Gray's death.

The arraignments for Smith and Howe have been scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 in the Haverhill District Court.

No further press releases are anticipated until the autopsy is concluded.
