The mission of the department is to serve the people of New Hampshire with diligence, independence and integrity by performing the constitutional, statutory and common law duties of the Attorney General as the State's chief legal officer and chief law enforcement officer, to seek to do justice in all prosecutions, to provide the State with legal representation and counsel of the highest quality, to protect the State's environment and the rights of its consumers, and to provide supervision and leadership of New Hampshire law enforcement.

Attorney General Joseph A. Foster announces that his office has been regularly in contact with officials at Anthem related to the recent data breach and is coordinating with Attorneys General of other states as the investigation into this breach by federal and state law enforcement officials continues.

Justin Rosberg, co-owner of The Meat House, entered a guilty plea this morning in the 10th Circuit Court in Seabrook to one count of misapplication of property for violating his fiduciary duty to pay funds that The Meat House raised for a charitable cause to benefit veterans.
